Developer Portal of the Velocity Interoperability Network
The Developer Portal publishes the standards that member systems of the Velocity Interoperability Network are expected to implement, keeps the catalogue of interfaces through which those systems exchange data, and documents each interface.

Conformance
A system that connects to the Network states the standards it implements and the version of each. The Developer Portal records each declaration and publishes the version to which it refers.
Every connected system implements VIN-1 Interoperability Baseline and VIN-5 Message Envelope. The remaining standards apply only to systems that perform the functions they describe.

Standards and versions
Every standard and interface carries a version of the form major.minor. A change to the second number adds to a standard without invalidating conforming systems; a change to the first alters a requirement and is announced six months before it takes effect.
All five standards were issued at Version 1.0 on 6 September 2026. Comments are invited until 4 December 2026 and will be considered at the first reviews in March and June 2027.
